Association of Missionaries (Sudan Mission) 1960-1985.

The records were collected by Hesterman and Knutson. They are separated into correspondence, minutes and reports, and subject files. Box 1 and part of Box 2 contains correspondence which is divided into group representative, treasurer, and individual missionaries. Boxes 2 and 3 contain minutes and reports from the Sudan Mission Conferences. There are no minutes nor reports for 1963-1967. Box 3 further contains subject files, which include a mimeographed "Prayer Newsletter," a handbook, a brief written history of the mission, a scrapbook, a report of a visit by Rolf A. Syrdal, executive secretary of the DWM, and information on a National Council of Churches agricultural project.

The American Lutheran Church (1961-1987) was formed by the merger of the American Lutheran Church (1930-1960), the Evangelical Lutheran Church and the United Evangelical Lutheran Church. Representatives from each of the constitutent churches formed the Joint Union Committee in 1950 to effect the merger. Presidents of the constituent bodies at the merger were Henry F.
